Though the western rustic is a broiler, it is a more rustic breed compared to its cousin the giant Cornish. With its yellowish skin and tasty meat, this bird will stand out on any dinner table.

Their legs are much stronger than their cousin, and have far fewer health problems.

Though it is a broiler, it grows much slower. With only a live weight of 5.5lbs at 9 weeks, these birds can be grown over a longer period of time, 12-14 weeks, to get a bigger more robust bird. With how hardy and disease resilient these birds are, they will be sure to impress!!
